L’oreal’s Exclusive Collection in Pure Red

I’m late in terms of my review as this range has been out long since and probably even discontinued but I still thought why not share my review with you guys.

Previously, I was afraid of wearing Red lipstick because it has many “myths “🙈yes, you know what I mean! 😂to be honest red is not my ‘everyday’ sort of shade just because it is such a vibrant colour.

I have recently discovered the perfect red lipstick from L’oreál. It is their exclusive collection in Blake’s Red (shade 402). This is one of my go-tos . There is nothing better than a show stopping red lipstick.

There are many hues of reds out there, however this red has a blue undertone and I must quite say, it compliments my skin tone very well😌.Not only is this affordable but great quality. Good enough to take a luxury brand’s place!

Let’s talk packaging, can we just take a moment? Black and gold, super gorgeous and luxurious looking.

Blake’s red is a matte lipstick but has a velvety matte finish once applied. It makes your lips look luscious.

This lipstick does transfer when eating and drinking. Touch ups can be done. I would most likely have to touch up the middle area were it tends to wear off the most otherwise the rest of the lipstick does not fully fade away.

My favourite is the stain part. I Love when red lipsticks stain the lips leaving a pinky red colour behind. Reminds me of the asian beauty lip peel off’s that leave’s a slight colour to the lips (long-lasting color tint and plus you don’t need to worry about product transferring or to re-apply).

There have an array of red hues with different undertones to match and compliment each and every skin tone.If you love red shades and have not yet found the ‘perfect’ one, head to your local drugstore beauty department and check out L’oreál’s lipstick collection. Not only are there reds but from pinks to nudes, you name it!

This lipstick retails for R120+ and available for purchase at Clicks and Dischem stores.
